3rd Class really enjoyed learning about Space. They learned about the order of the planets from the Sun and watched some videos of Neil Armstrong walking on the moon. They then made their own colourful 3D rockets which are proudly displayed outside the classroom.
They planted some sunflowers in the classroom. The seeds grew in pots in a sunny place beside the window and were watered regularly. They then planted them in the school grounds so we are really looking forward to some big bright sunflowers appearing beside the Astroturf before Summer.
We were delighted to win a popcorn and movie afternoon for the highest attendance recently. Keep up the good attendance everyone!
We were very proud of Joey and Ryan who received an award for the best handwriting in the class for the An Post handwriting competition. They received some lovely prizes.
Swimming lessons have started in the Maldron. The children are all making excellent progress and having lots of fun.
