Wellbeing
Well-being means feeling good and strong in our minds and bodies.Well-being is about being happy and healthy and confident and focuses on developing as a person. This subject is probably more important than ever due to the impact of Covid.
The children learn how to look after their own well-being by completing lessons from the Walk Tall Programme, Stay Safe and R.E Programme. In our school we are also using the Weaving Well-being Programme which encourage well-being habits such as the power of gratitude, mindfulness, self-compassion and kindness.
Whole school mindful meditations are done twice a week. Some benefits of this include: improves focus and concentration,it promotes confidence and self-esteem, it instills a feeling of calm and it can improve children's listening skills
Well-being week is an annual event in our school and will be running from the 29th May- 2nd June.
